In modern cataract surgery, there are many new and exciting lens (IOLs) options for patients.  Not only do we have IOLs that can correct astigmatism, but there are also IOLs that can reduce or eliminate the need for reading glasses.  These options have been around for several years, but the newest generation of IOLs are a significant improvement over the past versions.  When patients come to Corning Eye Center for cataracts we do multiple test that enable us to recommend the best lens for that person.  So if you have cataracts and are tired of those old reading glasses, give us a call and we would be happy to discuss what options are available to you.
